monthly event - Society of Sewing & Learning - is just too good to
simply call it " Club"! World class professionals will be
at Ann’s to share their knowledge and sewing experiences with you. ●
three hour lecture format ● Sundays 12-3pm OR Mondays
10-1pm ● NEW instructors - a different national educator each month ●
NEW payment structure - join for the year, June 2008 - May 2009, for $100.
Tuition: $100 to join for the year (11 sessions) - about $9/meeting, or
$25/session. Tuition is pro-rated at
registration depending upon date joined through May 2009.

Mary Mulari
- Author and Fabric & Embroidery Designer
Since 1983 Mary has been teaching and
writing about creative sewing. She started with sweatshirt
embellishments and appliqué and she is now the accomplished author on
topics including making accessories, travel gear, gifts, aprons and
napkins. Mary designs fabric for Marcus Brothers and embroidery for
Viking, Cactus Punch and Amazing Designs. Plus great trunk show!

Trish Stuart
- Twisted Threads Embellisher Extraordinaire
To say Trish is the queen of
embellishment is an understatement, and yet it doesn’t entirely hit the
mark. She is a creative spirit and uses fun techniques to express her
ideas. Fabric paint, fabric pens, applique, bobbin work, foil, stamping, inks, glitter, couching -
all of these and more - make her projects unique and beautiful. Trish
works with wall art and wearables alike. She’ll teach us her tips, tricks
and techniques - and display her trunk show. PLUS she'll
demonstrate the awesome new needlepunch machines.

Waldschmitt - Quilter,
Designer & Author
Elaine treats us to a look inside her
“Quilted Closet” pattern line and inspires us to “Wear Our Quilts”.
Elaine uses everything to compliment her work - fabrics, threads,
fibers, buttons, beads, crystals and more. In addition to running her
own business, Elaine works with Andover Fabric creating fabric lines.

Karen Eckmeier
- Landscape Quilter, Designer & More
Karen has taken quilting in a new
direction. Her “Layered Curves” technique allows you to render in
fabric virtually anything you can draw by hand. You’ll be blown away by
her “Accidental Landscapes” quilts and gain a whole new appreciation of
tulle and more. Don’t miss Karen and her collection of
samples.

Paula
Reid - Machine Quilting
Artist
Author and designer Paula Reid is a
specialist in custom machine quilting and contemporary work with novelty
threads. She teaches you to see quilts in a whole new way. Paula is a
frequent guest on Simply Quilts and, just as a side note, she is
Alex Anderson’s personal machine quilter and good friend. Trunk show
too!
